2009 BMW iDrive Notes
What's this all about?
In April 2009, I purchased a 2009 BMW 135i with the new generation of iDrive. My car was built in October 2008 and came preloaded with the 2009-1 North America maps and navigation software version 1.2.8.
Over the last year I've tried to take notes of the numerous bugs and quirks of the iDrive system, with the hope that they'd be corrected and the system improved upon with future software updates. Maintaining a printable document became too much of a chore and I figured that a website would be more easily updated. In addition, this way I can include more photos and external links as necessary.
(I've also including a few things that I would like to see, that aren't really problems to be fixed.)
